Presevo, Bujanovac, Мedvedja – The Electric Power Industry of Serbia decided to extend the deadline for paying and providing a 5 percent discount on all bills issued after the introduction of the state of emergency until June 30. This will apply to all the citizens. It was said in the company’s statement that due to the state of emergency and the ban on movement, some citizens were not able to pay their bills on time.
“That is why we have reached the decision to extend the payment deadline for all citizens of Serbia and the possibility of obtaining a 5 percent discount on all invoices issued after the introduction of the state of emergency, the Electric Power Industry of Serbia said. In the period until June 30, 2020, no interest will be calculated on any of these three bills.
It was also said that, if a citizen paid a bill before June 1, the realized discount on that account would be shown in the following bill, as it had previously been done. If all three bills were, possibly, paid in the period from June 1 to 30, a 5 percent discount would be calculated on each of the three paid bills. The discount will be stated in the following invoice.
“We took into account all the months when the state of emergency was in force, including May. The payment deadline has been extended until the end of June for all citizens of Serbia," the Electric Power Industry of Serbia stated.
