The Government of the Republic of Serbia stated that the application of employers for the participation in the "My First Salary" program was completed, while more than 10,000 applications were received from interested companies, which announced approximately 17,000 positions for 28,000 jobs.

Due to the great interest of employers for the program and the largest number of applications received from companies in the last two days of the application deadline, the opening of applications for young people who are interested in starting their working career has been postponed to October 8.

A careful check of the fulfillment of the requirements of the companies for participating in the program and professional definition of all positions is in progress. At the same time, more than 70 percent of the positions that companies have applied for are available for candidates with secondary school certificates, while employers' applications have come from all over Serbia, from various industries and companies.

Upon determining the final list of companies and positions to which candidates can apply, an invitation for applications of interested candidates will be opened on October 8.

Please note that for the purposes of applying by companies, advertising positions and applying by candidates, a single portal was created that enable the economy and young people not to have to submit anything in paper form, but to do everything electronically, through the “My First Salary” portal.

The Government of the Republic of Serbia launched the "My First Salary" program with the aim of encouraging training for young people and providing support to the economy in solving the problem of lack of staff.

10,000 young people will have the opportunity to gain work experience, as well as potential future employment, in which the state will invest two billion dinars.
