Bujanovac – Since the beginning of October, only two cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Bujanovac, says the Director of the Health Center, Dr. Daliborka Pavlovic, estimating that the situation in the municipality "is not at all what it is presented to be". 

“We only have two new cases, with no sample results pending. These are official data from the epidemiological report or data based on inside information ", Dr. Pavlovic says.

The Director rejects media reports in which Bujanovac is mentioned as a potential hotbed of the corona virus.

Since September 21, when 195 cases have been confirmed in the municipality since the beginning of the epidemic, the total number of patients has now increased by only 4.

According to her, in October, 44 examinations were performed in the COVID surgery which is a bit more than usual, and there were two children among the patients.

“At the same time, 22 serological tests were done and all of them were negative.  One patient was referred to the Infectious Diseases Ward of the Vranje Hospital due to a febrile condition, "Dr. Pavlovic says.

During September, another case of infection was recoded among the staff of the Health Center, bringing the total number of infected healthcare employess to 15 since the beginning of the epidemic.
