Influenza vaccination for the 2020/2021 season began on October 1 in all Health Centers in the district, when 9,000 doses of seasonal flu vaccine were received.
The next delivery was on November 17, when 600 doses of Torlak vaccine were distributed to the Health Centers in the territory of the Jablanica District.
The received Vaxigrip Tetra vaccine is tetravalent and is intended for the prevention of influenza caused by two subtypes of influenza A virus and two subtypes of influenza B virus contained in the vaccine. It is used for:
– Active immunization of adults, including pregnant women and children who are 6 months old and older, and
– passive protection of newborns from their birth to 6 months of age, following the vaccination of their mothers during pregnancy.
Vaccination will be done in all infirmaries and health centers in the territory of the Jablanica district this time as well.
