As for the recourse measure for artificial insemination of cows and heifers, 97 requests were received, in the total amount of 792,000 dinars, while all the requests met the requirements for paying of the recourse.
Funds for the implementation of the Program of Agricultural Policy and Rural Development Policy of the Municipality of Medvedja for 2020 were provided in the Decision on the Budget of the Assembly of the Municipality of Medvedja in the amount of 8,000,000 dinars, of which allocated under the program were 7,150,000 dinars for the measure of support and investment in physical assets of agricultural farms, while 850,000 dinars were allocated for the recourse for reproductive material for insemination of cows and heifers.
This year, due to the epidemic and the introduction of the state of emergency, the planned amount for incentives in 2020 was reduced.
Yesterday, contracts were handed out to the farmers from the second tranche in the office of the municipal president, Nebojsa Arsic.
In accordance with the measures and recommendations of the Emergency Situations Staff, only several farmers attended the event of signing and handing out of the contracts.
“Due to the current situation, today's handing out of contracts was organized for a smaller number of farmers, who were invited in accordance with the order in which they had submitted their requests. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management is investing a great amount of funds in farms. Funds for helping farmers were allocated from our budget too, and they increased every year. The budget planned for the next year is the most realistic one, with minimal deprivations, "Mr. Arsic said.
As he said, investments in all segments, including agriculture, were reduced.
“Road infrastructure is our sore point, and we have to keep the level of things there in order to meet the needs of our local population, considering that our territory is relatively hilly and requires constant maintenance of local roads, "the president of the municipality of Medvedja underscored.
According to him, four bridges or stone crossings are currently being built, which will be safe for use at 4 locations.
