As it was stated, the foreign currency had been seized from a Macedonian national (49) on the exit side of the Presevo border crossing.
“He was traveling in the company of his compatriot in a "Volkswagen Polo" vehicle with Swiss license plates, and during the brief meeting with the customs officers, he and his companion said that they were carrying only their personal luggage and 10,000 euros each. This turned out to be true in the case of the co-driver, but the driver had an undeclared amount in his pockets, of which, after the allowed amount in the equivalent of 10,000 euros was returned to him, more than 30,000 francs were kept until the end of the court proceedings", the Customs Administration said.
