Bujanovac, Vranje – The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government called on representatives of all local self-governments from the Pcinj District to submit projects to the call for applications related to financial support in preventive action and the repairing of natural disasters, said Ministry Secretary Maja Macuzic Puzic at a meeting on recent flood that was held  in Vranje.  

According to the South Serbia News portal, the topic of the meeting was preventive reaction in emergency situations, while Maja Macuzic Puzic, among other things, emphasized the importance of proactive and preventive action, so that natural disasters would not cause great damage and after-effects.

It was also announced that meetings on the topic of preventive action in emergency situations would be held throughout the country, as the goal was to prevent catastrophes with serious consequences.

The "Srbijavode" enterprise requested that the Government of the Republic of Serbia should approve about 500 million dinars for the regulation of stream flows and the most endangered places in the Pcinj, Nis and Pirot Districts. At the meeting held in Nis, it was determined which were the most critical places and priorities in flood defenses, while short-term and long-term solutions were also announced.
