Bujanovac, Belgrade – The Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Tomislav Momirovic, talked with the President of the Municipality of Bujanovac, Nagip Arifi, about the construction of a sewerage system in that important municipality in southern Serbia, as part of the "Clean Serbia" project, the Ministry of Construction stated.

Minister Momirovic pointed out that the municipality of Bujanovac was one of the 65 municipalities in Serbia that was included in the "Clean Serbia" program, and thus it opened the possibility of applying for funds that it would invest in the regulation of wastewater and the construction of a sewerage system.

“An investment of 31 million euros is planned for the municipality of Bujanovac, which will cover the construction of 50 km of sewerage system and wastewater treatment plants for 40,000 inhabitants, "said Minister Momirovic.

The President of the Municipality of Bujanovac, Nagip Arifi, voiced satisfaction with the meeting with Minister Momirovic, which provides the conditions for joint work on improving the quality of life of the residents of the municipality of Bujanovac, which is an important communication and social center in southern Serbia, the Ministry said.

It was also stated that Minister Momirovic recently signed commercial agreements with the Director of the Chinese construction corporation CRBC on the design and construction of sewerage infrastructure and the execution of works on the construction of infrastructure for the disposal of municipal solid waste in Serbia.

The agreements will enable the design and construction of wastewater treatment plants, sewage systems and pumping stations in 65 local self-governments at 73 locations, as well as the rehabilitation or construction of regional landfills at six locations.
