BELGRADE – On Tuesday, February 16, 2010, Boris Tadic, President of the Republic of Serbia, met with MP Riza Halimi and with President of the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja Milan Markovic.

The Serbian President talked with Mr. Halimi and Mr. Markovic about the Coordination Body’s activities for improving the living conditions of all citizens of the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, regardless of their political affiliation or ethnic background.
 
It was established during the meeting that it was of key importance for the Albanians to elect members of their National Council if the issues of the Albanian ethnic minority regarding education, integration, official use of the language and lettering, information and the others are to be solved.

President Tadic pointed out that it was necessary for the local self-governments and governmental institutions to work together, so that the processes initiated following the reconstruction of the Coordination Body could go on.
