Belgrade – The Serbian Government classified Belgrade region as the only developed one, since the gross domestic product (GPD) made in it is above the republican average, it was stated in the latest issue of the „Official Gazette“.
Belgrade – The Serbian Government classified Belgrade region as the only developed one, since the gross domestic product (GPD) made in it is above the republican average, it was stated in the latest issue of the „Official Gazette“.
The regions of Vojvodina, Sumadija and western Serbia, southern and eastern Serbia were classified as insufficiently developed ones, since the value of the GDP made in them is below the average, while the region of Kosovo and Metohija also has the status of an insufficiently developed region.
In the by-law on compiling a uniform list of development of Serbian regions and local self-governments in 2011, the Serbian Government established that development of the following 19 local self-governments was above the republican average: Arilje, Belgrade, Beocin, Vrsac, Zrenjanin, Kanjiza, Kosjeric, Kragujevac, Lajkovac, Nis, Novi Sad, Pancevo, Pecinci, Pozarevac, Senta, Sremski Karlovci, Subotica, Uzice and Cacak.
The degree of development of the following 27 local self-governments is by 50 per cent below the republican average: Babusnica, Bela Palanka, Bojnik, Bosilegrad, Bujanovac, Vladicin Han, Vlasotince, Gadzin Han, Golubac, Zagubica, Zitoradja, Kursumlija, Kucevo, Lebane, Ljubovija, Mali Zvornik, Medvedja, Merosina, Presevo, Prijepolje, Razanj, Srljig, Sjenica, Surdulica, Trgoviste, Tutin and Crna Trava.
