You are hereby invited to attend the event entitled the “Presentation of the Issues Related to Landmines, Cluster Munitions and other Unexploded Ordnance in the Municipalities of Bujanovac and Presevo”, which will take place on Thursday, April 10, 2014. The event will commence at 12:30 pm in the small hall of the “Vuk Karadzic” Cultural Center in Bujanovac.

The event is organized by the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja and the Mine Action Center. Participants in the conference will be addressed by Zoran Stankovic, President of the Coordination Body, Branislav Jovanovic, Director of the Mine Action Centre, Nagip Arifi, Mayor of Bujanovac, Ragmi Mustafa, Mayor of Presevo, Bratislav Rancic, Head of the Directorate for Civil Protection and by a representative of the Ministry of Defense. It is expected that the event will be attended by numerous guests, including, among others, Srecko Gavrilovic, Head of the Department for Unexploded Ordnance, foreign military representatives accredited to the Republic of Serbia and representatives of the Red Cross and the Institute of Public Health in Vranje.

The presentation is an opportunity for all interested persons to get informed about the activities that the competent authorities of the Republic of Serbia take in order to solve the problems related to landmines, cluster munitions and other unexploded ordnance.

The press–conference, which will take place at 1pm, will be followed by  giving statements to the media.
