Medvedja – The “Bujanovac” football team won the first place at the traditional First of May tournament, which was held in the village of Tupale, in the municipality of Medvedja.  

A total of eleven football teams participated in the tournament.

Competing in the tournament were football teams from Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja , as well as a team made ​​up of Albanians from the municipality of Medvedja, who live in Pristina

The tournament in Tupale, which is the largest Albanian village in the municipality of Medvedja, was opened by the mayor of Medvedja Slobodan Draskovic. The event was attended by the MP and Leader of the Party of Democratic Action (PDD) Riza Halimi, the President of the Albanian National Council Galip Beciri and the Mayor of Bujanovac Nagip Arifi.

Owing to the donations of two NGOs from Austria and Switzerland, the construction of two houses was launched in the municipality of Medvedja.  

The foundations of the houses were built in the village of Grbavac and in Sijarinska Spa. The houses are intended for two poor Albanian families that live in these places.
