Medvedja – This year, the municipality of Medvedja will get 52 million dinars from the republican budget for road infrastructure, said Zoran Drobnjak, the Director of the "Roads of Serbia" Company, at a recently held meeting of the Mayors of the municipalities from the Jablanica district with Zorana Mihajlovic, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia.
The meeting was held at the seat of the Jablanica district last week, while the Law on Legalization, the Law on Housing and the Law on Road Infrastructure were discussed at it.
As stated by the local self- government of Medvedja, Mr. Drobnjak said that around 52 million dinars had been planned for the municipality of Medvedja, "but more funds could be allocated till the end of the year."
Those funds should be used to solve pressing problems, such as the completion of the paving of the last section of the regional Lebane-Medvedja road, the length of which is 5.5 kilometers, as well as for the bridge in Tulare, so that the route to the administrative line with Kosovo and Metohija, or to Mutivode, would be improved. Also agreed at the meeting was the fixing up of a couple of other routes.
Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, underscored the aforementioned problems and pointed out that Medvedja had achieved excellent results in the first two stages of the process of legalization of objects.
“The major problem of our citizens with the process of legalization of buildings is the lack of financial resources. We have not yet received the Ministry’s approval for continuing to hire those working on the legalization of buildings, but once we receive it, everything will go much faster, "Mayor Arsic said.
Also discussed at the meeting was the need to build a road across Mt. Radan, which would connect several municipalities and tourist destinations, which is the issue that has been discussed for over twenty years.
