Bujanovac – Among the exhibits displayed at the 17th festival of handicrafts "Diligent Hands", which the "Vuk Karadzic" community center in Bujanovac traditionally organizes to mark the day of that institution, the stand of the “Branko Radicevic” elementary school from Bujanovac was the most remarkable one.
The attention of the festival’s visitors was drawn by various objects made by the hands of the students and staff of the school, including the articles crocheted by Gordana Zlatkovic, the school principal.
During the three-day exhibition of over 200 various hand-made items, the visitors of the “Diligent Hands” festival will be able to admire a variety of hand-made objects and paintings that were done by participants in the festival.
On the second day of the "Diligent Hands" event, the visitors enjoyed the ethno sounds of the “Izvor” group from Vranje.
Under the program of the festival, an evening of Albanian music will be held on third and final day of the event, followed by an awarding of acknowledgments to the authors of exhibits.
It is necessary to underscore that representatives of the Municipal Board of the Serbian Progressive Party (SPP) left the opening of the exhibition for lack of compliance with the law, because the flag of the Republic of Serbia and the picture of Vuk Karadzic, after whom the community center had been named, were not displayed.
