Medvedja – Yesterday, contracts on the implementation of the program of financing and supporting the activities in the field of sports in the territory of the municipality of Medvedja were signed in the office of the Mayor of Medvedja. This year, the municipality of Medvedja earmarked 15 million dinars for financing important projects.

Pursuant to the public invitation, the funds were given to the Football Club "Jablanica", the Basketball Club "Jablanica", the Sports Association of the Municipality, the Karate Club "Jablanica" from Medvedja, the Aikido Association "Jablanica", the Chess Club "Gornja Jablanica" and the Sports Association "Slobodan Stil”.

“The municipality of Medvedja allocated 15 million dinars for sports this year, which is the largest amount of funds so far, since every dinar invested in our youth and sports returns to us several times. Our desire, as a local self-government, is to keep the young and to include them as much as possible in all spheres of cultural and sporting life, "said Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, when signing the contracts.

He says that according to the law, one sports association or club cannot get more than 20 percent of the total funds allocated, so even though they wanted to allocate more to the basketball and football clubs, the law was clear, and he hoped that all those who had received the funds would succeed in covering the expenses with them.
